by the Louisiana Division of Administration 's Office of Information Technology,
under Federal funding from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration.
Closing the Digital Divide Gap:
The North and South Cases of Morehouse
and Grant Parishes
Grant and Morehouse Parishes, both rural, had suffered manufacturing decline in the last decade, and are suburban, "bedroom" communities to adjacent metropolitan areas. Both would benefit tremendously from broadband engagement and a pathway to attracting infrastructure for critically needed development (and entre to a more competitive economic environment).
Kisatchie-Delta Regional Planning & Development District (for this Grant Parish area e-Network Broadband Pilot) and North Delta Regional Planning & Development District (for Morehouse Parish) joined together to obtain funding from the Division of Administration's Office of Information Technology, using federal resources from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, to conduct a program of engaging local businesses, local governments, and non-profit and/or trade associations in accessing training and hands-on assistance to promote improved Broadband presence.

The Louisiana Division of Administration (DOA) is hosting this broadband mapping website as a public service to the citizens of Louisiana. The mapping and other associated information presented herein is only as accurate as the source data provided by the actual broadband service providers as updated semiannually.
